P&C president’s message

Pimpama State Schools has an active Parents' and Citizens' Association.

Our P&C's Motto – Helping to make school somewhere children want to be, not somewhere they have to be!

The objectives of the Association are to promote the interests of, and facilitate the development and further improvement of the School, for example, by promoting parent participation and encouraging collaboration between parents, students, school communities and nongovernment entities to foster a commitment to achieving the best educational outcomes for children and young people.

In pursuit of the Association's objectives, the functions of the Association are to:

  • foster community interest in educational matters
  • try to bring about closer co-operation between the parents of children attending the School and other members of the community, staff members of the School and students of the School
  • if asked by the principal, give advice and recommendations about:
    • issues relating to persons who receive educational instruction at the School
    • the general operations and management of the School
  • give, or assist in the giving of, financial or other resources or services for the benefit of persons who receive educational instruction at the School
  • perform any other functions, not inconsistent with the Act, as the Minister may decide.

Our P&C operates the Canteen and Uniform Shop within our school. We are NOT-FOR-PROFIT meaning 100% of funds get donated back and used within our school to purchase curriculum resources and infrastructure for our students.

Meetings are held twice per term at 6pm in the library – Dates are posted in the school newsletter and on our social media accounts. Everyone is welcome.

  • President: Katie-Jane Lawrence
  • Treasurer: Cassandra Sparnon
  • Secretary: Cassie Riera

Canteen Manager: Amber Jones

Canteen & Uniform Shop Assistant: Hayley Neatherway

All students directly benefit from the resources and programs that the P&C funds provide and support within our school.

Volunteering within Our School

Helping can be so rewarding. Here at Pimpama State School we have many ways for you to contribute to the school community. When parents are involved in their children's education, kids do better in school. Examples of assistance include:

  • volunteering in our canteen
  • helping with fundraising activities
  • attending meetings
  • becoming a class room helper.

You decide how much time you are able to give to help, any help is appreciated.
