The Pimpama
State School Mathematics Program embeds the aims, key ideas and structure
associated with the Australian Curriculum Mathematics to ensure all students
become effective mathematical thinkers and apply numeracy skills in a range of
contexts. In conjunction with the explicit instruction of the Australian
Curriculum Mathematics Units, students who attend Pimpama State School also
engage with our signature Maths Mentals and Problem Solving programs on a daily
basis. These school-wide programs ensure
consistency in the
teaching of strategies across year levels and have been fundamental
in developing the skills that underpin mathematical understanding and fluency.
