At Pimpama State School, our primary focus is for all students
from Prep-Year 6 to improve their decoding and comprehension skills, until they
are independent readers. We utilise the Big 6 Reading Program, with our own
signature practices embedded school wide. Children who attend Pimpama State
School, are given daily reading instruction, taught using researched based
pedagogical practices. Every day, in every classroom students spend the first 10 minutes of the
day reading for enjoyment.
