Beenleigh Historical Village Excursion
If only we could turn back time? Students of Year One will be able to do just that when we attend The Beenleigh Historical Village in Term Two. This excursion will support what we have been learning in HaSS for this Semester. We have been learning about "The Past, The Present and The Future". Students will be bought back in time to witness first hand "Schooling, Washing, and the Making of the Newspaper".
Year 1 Sleep Over
At Pimpama State School, students in Year One are given the opportunity to participate in a sleepover at the school. Students sleep over for 1 night and participate in activities such as night walks, competetive games, dancing and bedtime stories. We have a sausage sizzle for dinner and a healthy breakfast in the morning before students leave to go home. This sleepover in Term 4 is an opportunity for students to build confidence and independence before students go on camp in Year Two.
