Year 4 Camp - Tyalgum Ridge Retreat
Tyalgum Ridge Retreat is situated high inside the northwest perimeter of
the Tweed Valley in northern NSW (approximately 30 minutes west of
Murwillumbah.) The Tweed Valley or the "Green Cauldron" is surrounded
by the eroded crater of one of the world’s largest known extinct volcanoes.
Ancient rainforests, fast flowing creeks, waterfalls and outstanding views are some of the amazing experiences our Year 4 students have on camp in Term 1. The trip to Tyalgum Ridge Retreat is a great way for students to bond with each other by completing various team building activities. The camp allows students to become more responsible and independent. The activities on camp provide a challenge for our Year 4 students with hi-ropes, canoeing and hiking just to name a few! We are all very excited to be going to Tyalgum Ridge Retreat and attaining many valuable life skills.
Ashmore Bike Centre Excursion
In Term 3
the Year 4 classes travel to the Ashmore Bike Centre to practise bike skills
and to learn about road safety. This interactive programme has the students not
only learning the road rules and signs, but ensures they use them with bikes
provided by the centre on a specially built road system. This road safety
programme, which is provided by the Gold Coast City Council, is only available
to Year 4 students.
